As one faithful reader pointed out in the comments of yesterday’s post, I am no longer a tourist!! And my first day of being an official resident of Tokyo was welcomed with a light blanket of snow–the perfect weather for ramen. Wait…who am I kidding? Any weather is the perfect weather to eat ramen for me! But yes, it is nice to slurp down a hot, steamy bowl of ramen when the thermometer hits freezing.
I spent the morning looking at apartments with the fudousan (realtor). We practically searched throughout all of south Suginami-ku on bicycles in the freezing cold. We even got lost a few times, but it was nice to be in the open air rather than a car. Plus, this lady was courteous and I felt like I could trust her, unlike most other fudousan’s that can be downright shady. Be careful of those.
After seeing four places, I found one I really liked. We’ll see what happens. Anyway, it was lunch time and I was craving a burger so I stopped at Mos Burger to eat this new Tobikiri Cheeseburger. Yum. And then it was off to work.
After work, the whole crew at Ivan Ramen [including Ivan!] took a ramen field trip to Bassanova.
