I am obsessed, but you already knew that. Believe it or not, there are people out there that are more obsessed than me. Anyway, I went to grab a bowl at Ichidenya in Higashi-Matsubara today, where the owner serves a super-obsessive ramen.
The soup is a fatty tonkotsu and I had the best seat in the house.
This shoyu-tonkotsu ramen was interesting. I’ve heard that it’s ‘Santouka inspired’ but the resemblance is faint.
I might have enjoyed this bowl more if it wasn’t for the arguing couple sitting next to me. And if it really has an association to Asahikawa ramen, I would have liked to taste a deeper shoyu impact.

And now for my favorite pic of the day. I tried something different with my shoyu ramen and added yuzu shichimi instead of ichimi. Woah, I think I may be onto something here.
