The assistant was in a rush to catch a train so we both slurped a quick bowl of Khao San ramen in Shinjuku Station.
Afterward, I didn’t feel satisfied so I took a walk down to Menya Saru Suberi (麺や百日紅) in Shinjuku Sanchome.
Did you see that monkey slip?
Saru Suberi’s Chuuka Soba was a delight, but the raw onions made things a little too sweet and watered down for me.
The bowl reminded me of Isoji, but without the same maturity level.
I like thick skin. Maybe it’s time for a change.
